Born in Ecuador, Ayala-Cortes emigrated to the United States in 2003, her obituary reads. She worked as the director of regulatory affairs operations for Organon and Company in Jersey City, according to her obituary.
She is survived her husband, Carlos, her children, Camila and Isabella, her parents Rodrigo and Marcia, and numerous other family members and friends, her obituary reads.
A fundraiser has been created to support her family. As of Monday, Oct. 14, more than $5,000 has been raised.
Ayala-Cortes "was an incredible mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend, who touched the lives of everyone she met with her warmth and kindness," Natalya Nata, who created the fundraiser wrote. "Her love for her husband and two beautiful daughters was endless, and they were her world.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the Crossing Church in Livingston.
